The following article, Leftists Infuriated After Exxon Mobil Forbids LGBTQ and BLM Flags Outside Offices, was first published on .
Oil company Exxon Mobil has reversed a previous rule and will now prohibit Black Lives Matter and gay-themed flags to fly outside corporate offices.
Naturally, the activist, hardcore left is furious over the new rules.
The company now says that only governmental, company, and employee resource group (ERG) flags will be allowed to be raised outside of its facilities, according to the New York Times.
The paper defined “ERGs” as groups or holidays that have official recognition from an employer.
Tracey Gunnlaugsson, Exxon Mobil vice president of human resources, said, “It’s a longstanding practice at our facilities around the world that E.R.G. flags can be flown during signature months. The flags are directly related to our business and company support of our E.R.G.s.”
The company has not banned all LGBTQ flags, of course. It has a formally recognized employee group push the radical gay agenda, and that group’s symbols are still allowed by the company.
But company will no longer allow blanket use of non-official flags on company flag poles.
The leftists of Human Rights Watch were quite unhappy over the company’s new rules. The group went on to act as if Exxon Mobil was somehow violating the human rights of gays.
We support the LGBTQ+ employees at Exxon and hope Exxon’s leaders understand there’s no such thing as “neutrality” when it comes to our rights. Our flag isn't just a visual representation of our identities. It is also a staple of allyship.https://t.co/itdCeNlJT0
