Joe Biden and his Bidenflation is now coming for your burgers and fries, folks, as prices at places such as McDonald’s have gone up 7 percent in the last few months alone.
According to the National Restaurant Association fast food offerings, including the McDonald’s Big Mac, have soared over the past year, and prices are still rising.
Prices in the Fast Food industry have gone up 8 percent this year, the biggest hike of any restaurant category, according to Axios.
Axios cited a tracker called “The Big Mac Index” which gathers stats about sales and prices for the famous burger from all across the country.
Axios added that it found the cheapest Big Mac was selling for $3.75 in Austin, Texas. The most expensive one was in Seattle, Washington, where the sandwich is selling for $6.39.
McDonald’s CFO Kevin Ozan blamed inflation, according to the Daily Mail.
“At the company’s fourth quarter earning report he said the price hike accommodated the ‘4% commodity price increases or food and paper increases, as well as labor inflation and the competitive environment,'” the Mail reported.
National chains like McDonald’s can resist fluctuations easier than smaller entities. However, they can’t and won’t resit it forever. Pries are rising.
Thanks Joe Biden.
