As the climate warriors of our nation continue to exert their social influence over the grand glut of the radical left, our lives are going to change dramatically.

The science that global warming believers have weaponized seems to suggest that only megalithic, sweeping changes to our society can prevent the inevitable doom that they’ve been predicting ever since An Inconvenient Truth launched Al Gore’s carbon credits side hustle.

One of the largest adjustments for Americans in the coming decades will be the use of electric cars – something that is cumbersome and clunky still at this stage in our ecological development.   And, in predictably progressive fashion, California seems to be getting a jump on it.

California regulators unveiled a plan to ban the sale of new gas cars by 2035 on Thursday, the state’s latest effort to combat greenhouse gas emissions.

The plan from the California Air Resources Board calls for 35% of new car sales in the state to be battery or hydrogen-powered by 2026, according to CNBC. The board will vote on the proposal in August.

Not only is this government regulation of our daily lives a broad overreacts, but it appears as though it wasn’t even approved by the California legislature.

The order, if enacted, would represent the fruition of Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s September 2020 executive order aiming to ban new gas and diesel vehicles by 2035.

“Pull away from the gas pumps,” Newsom said. “Let us no longer be victims of geopolitical dictators that manipulate global supply chains and global markets.”

California’s electric vehicles made up 12% of the overall vehicle sales in the state in 2021.
