It has become rather apparent in 2021 that the unvaccinated are going to be treated as second-class citizens, all on account of their personal medical choices, and the exercising of their right to bodily sovereignty. Those who have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccination are already suffering, unable to visit restaurants, attend sporting events, or travel on several airlines.
Now, the rights of the willful abstainers are being trampled yet again, as the US prepares to open the borders to Canada and Mexico…but not for them.
U.S. land borders with Mexico and Canada will reopen in early November to non-essential travelers however only the fully vaccinated will enjoy the freedom to move, a senior White House official announced late Tuesday.
AFP reports the official said the Biden administration would give the “precise date very soon” — both for land crossings as well as expanded international air travel, which would be co-launched.
U.S. borders were closed in March 2020 to travelers coming from the European Union, Britain and China, with India and Brazil added to the list later. Overland visitors from Mexico and Canada were also banned as the country took stock of the growing threat of coronavirus.
The absurdity of the decision was almost immediately made clear, as tens of thousands of undocumented and unvaccinated migrants continue to flood the southern US border, all while the Biden administration appears to be sitting on their hands.
