Is Andrew Cuomo stubborn? Is he arrogant? Or is he just a bit dim? Perhaps it is a combination of the three that has made the New York Governor so oblivious to his predicament as to think that he shall remain in office.
Whatever the case may be, Cuomo has now resisted calls to resign from perhaps the three most important Democrats in his life: NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and now President Joe Biden himself.
The message from the Democratic Party to Cuomo is clear: Get lost, creep.
Now, to make matters even worse for the Empire State lawmaker, it appears as though he’s facing heat from the D.A. as well.
The district attorney of Albany County, New York, said Tuesday that his office is criminally investigating Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has been accused of sexually harassing multiple women.
DA David Soares also said his office would “welcome any victim to contact our office with additional information” about Cuomo.
And Soares said he plans to request investigative materials from the state attorney general’s probe of his alleged harassment of 11 women, most of whom work or had worked for state government or related entities.
News of the criminal investigation came hours after Attorney General Letitia James detailed a report substantiating the women’s claims that Cuomo has subjected them to unwanted touching and remarks that make them uncomfortable.
If Cuomo won’t go on his own accord, it certainly appears as though there are folks ready to extract him if need be.
