The following article, For July 4th, White House Pushed Fiction that Food Prices are Down Since Biden’s Election, was first published on Flag And Cross.
The Biden White House attempted to fool America with the fiction that Uncle Joe had helped lower the cost of food as Americans prepared to celebrate the Independence Day holiday.
Americans cherish the July Fourth celebrations, usually with cookouts and barbeques. But this year, the costs for everything Americans need for such a celebration has gone up since the Trump years. But Joe Biden’s propagandists want you to disbelieve your experience and accept his lies.
He says prices have gone down since he came to office:
Planning a cookout this year? Ketchup on the news. According to the Farm Bureau, the cost of a 4th of July BBQ is down from last year. It’s a fact you must-hear(d). Hot dog, the Biden economic plan is working. And that’s something we can all relish. pic.twitter.com/7h9qLauIbC

This claim, of course, is mostly false. While some of the prices may be slightly less since 2020, this has zero to do with Biden’s policies and more to do with the end of the many and sundry coronavirus policies that hampered the U.S. economy in 2020.
Indeed, even the very Farm Bureau report that the White House tried to use to “prove” its lies, actually defeats the White House narrative. Per Breitbart News, That report reads:
Farm Bureau analysis reveals the average cost of a summer cookout for 10 people remains affordable at $59.50, or less than $6 per person. The cost for the cookout is down just 16 cents (less than 1%) from last year, but 8 percent higher compared to 2019.
The White House went on to claim that beef prices are lower under Biden. But this is also not true.
The Farm Bureau notes:
“Beef and pork processing plant disruptions that occurred in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic have been resolved, leading to lower retail ground beef and pork chop prices in 2021 compared to 2020,” Nigh said. “However, consumers looking a bit farther back to compare prices are seeing higher prices for ground beef, pork chops and chicken breasts compared to pre-pandemic (2019) prices. That’s due to continued strong demand for American-grown beef and pork from both U.S. and international consumers.”
In other words, Biden is citing only the partial information that suits his propaganda.
And… isn’t it funny that Biden didn’t mention gasoline prices?
As of July 4, the national gas price average had risen to $3.13, nearly one full dollar more than July 4, 2020 when the average nationwide price was just $2.17, the AAA reported.
