The following article, Texas Official Says Border Situation is ‘Out of Control’, with ‘No Progress Made’ During Biden Administration, was first published on Flag And Cross.
On the southern border of the United States, a horrid reality is beginning to set in.
The humanitarian crisis that has plagued the region for months is not getting any better, despite the Biden administration’s purported attempts to rein the mess in, having even gone as far as to task Vice President Kamala Harris with personally overseeing the issue.
Now, a member of the Texas Department of Public Safety is issuing a terse warning on the matter.
On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Christopher Olivarez said “there is no progress being made” on the border and “it’s an unsecured border. It’s out of control right now, and if this continues, it’s going to be even more out of control.”
Olivarez did not pull any punches in his assessment.
“So, we see it every day, day in and day out, our men and women of law enforcement who work the front lines day in and day out, who work extended hours away from their families, they see it every single day. And I can tell you right now, there is no progress being made.”
Olivarez later added, “Trace, right now, as it is right now, it’s an unsecured border. It’s out of control right now, and if this continues, it’s going to be even more out of control.”
President Joe Biden had originally suggested that the current situation at the border was nothing more than a routine, “seasonal” surge – a remark that was wholly lambasted by those with an intimate knowledge of the situation.
