Washington, District of Columbia.
Soon, Washington DC state?
Hmm. Doesn’t exactly have the same ring to it.
Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser told “Just the News” on Friday that the Democratic-led Senate and House will vote in favor of statehood for the District of Columbia and send the bill to President Joe Biden’s desk, who has expressed support for D.C. statehood in the past.
Lynne Patton headed up Region II of HUD. In other words, she works under (and very closely with) former HUD Secretary Ben Carson.
Patton sent an Instagram post that should raise a lot of eyebrows among lefties.
It won’t, unfortunately, because they’ll never learn of this news. But it should.
More from WUSA9:
WASHINGTON — Black Lives Matter DC issued a formal statement Sunday denouncing Mayor Muriel Bowser’s handling of recent protests and asking for her to instead “invest in the community” and decrease the budget for D.C. police.
The activist group wants the DC police department defunded, prison and jails dismantled, and stop and frisk tactics ended — all initiatives they say Mayor Bowser hasn’t invested in.
Fixed it for ya @MayorBowser!

This is a performative distraction from real policy changes. Bowser has consistently been on the wrong side of BLMDC history. This is to appease white liberals while ignoring our demands. Black Lives Matter means defund the police. @emilymbadger say it with us https://t.co/w0ekwSG1ip
