The following article, New Poll Finds The General Public Opposed To Packing Supreme Court With Liberal Judges, was first published on Flag And Cross.
According to a new poll that was put out by The Washington Examiner/YouGov, 47 percent of individuals surveyed are totally against stacking the Supreme Court with more members, while only 34 percent were in favor of the idea.
That translates to roughly 1 in 3 voters in favor of the Democratic proposal to swell the ranks of SCOTUS beyond its current nine members in order to keep the majority of those on the bench squarely in the liberal corner.
Even the 60 percent of Democrats who support court packing want to see the bench ideologically balanced with few supporting a liberal majority.
If the Supreme Court is expanded, just 11% of all voters want its composition to be “overwhelmingly liberal,” compared to 47% who would like to see it balanced. Democrats support a balanced court over a liberal majority by 52% to 38%.
The poll also found that the majority of respondents considered the Supreme Court nomination important to their voting this November, with 58% considering it “very important,” while another 21% said it was “somewhat important.”
This survey was conducted on Sunday among 1,200 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 pecentage points.
The current Supreme Court has a very slim 5-3 conservative majority, with one seat vacant following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Chief Justice John Roberts is the critical key swing vote who sometimes abandons his conservative principles in order to side with liberals. This doesn’t sit well with most patriotic Americans who are opposed completely to the left-wing agenda pushed by leftists in the Democratic Party.
This just goes to show you that the vast majority of Americans are still full of common sense, unlike the radicals who are trying to drown out everyone and act as if their voice is the majority when it isn’t.
