The following article, Trump’s Campaign Shreds Democratic Convention, Calls It ‘Hollywood-Produced Infomercial’, was first published on Flag And Cross.
President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign lashed out at the Democratic National Convention calling it a “Hollywood-produced infomercial” that didn’t have any real substance.
The opener of the event took place on Monday evening and featured key speakers such as Govs. Andrew Cuomo, Gretchen Whitmer, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and of course, former First Lady Michelle Obama. Trump and his campaign wasted zero time jumping on this and mocking it ruthlessly.
Would we expect anything less from a counter-puncher like President Trump?
Here’s more on this from The Washington Examiner:
“Perhaps it was just an oversight, but the first night of the Democrat convention left out the fact that Joe Biden would raise taxes on more than 80 percent of Americans by at least $4 trillion. Also missing was his open borders policy, with amnesty and work permits for 11 million illegal aliens,” said Hogan Gidley, Trump campaign’s national press secretary.
“There was no mention of Joe Biden’s desire to cut police funding, kill ten million energy jobs with a green new deal, or give free healthcare to illegal aliens, but in fairness, it was only the first night. Biden also failed to highlight his opposition to President Trump’s decision to restrict travel from China and Europe, which saved countless American lives. With history as our guide, if Joe Biden had been president, the coronavirus crisis would be dramatically worse,” he continued.
Senior Trump campaign adviser Brad Parscale compared the two-hour event to a “Hollywood award show,” and Sen. Marco Rubio sarcastically declared the inclusion of celebrities such as Eva Longoria a “brilliant move.” Meanwhile, some felt Obama’s keynote address livened up the night.
Is this the Democratic National Convention or a Hollywood award show?

Brilliant move! No one is more in touch with the challenges & obstacles faced by everyday Americans than actors & celebrities. https://t.co/nzHOniMHPN

Michelle Obama just turned the infomercial format into a literary genre.

Okay, so the whole did look pretty terrible. The production quality is that of a low-budget B-movie. Well, now, that’s not very fair to movies of that grade because a lot of them are at least entertaining.
The opening of the DNC was nothing more than pure torture. And what’s hilarious is this is coming from the group that’s supposed to have all of the best artists and filmmakers. Not really seeing that kind of quality here.
