Good News: US Has Lowest Single-Day COVID-19 Death Toll Since Late March

The following article, Good News: US Has Lowest Single-Day COVID-19 Death Toll Since Late March, was first published on Flag And Cross.

The whole country has been chomping on their nails, anxiety pumping through every vein, hearts beating fast as hummingbird wings as states across the nation implement more and more of their plan for reopening economies amid the coronavirus shutdowns, hoping there isn’t going to be a massive spike in cases and deaths as a result.

Well, so far, while there might be an uptick in cases — mostly due to the increase in the number of tests being administered — the United States just saw it’s lowest single-day death numbers in almost four months over the weekend.

Over the entire country, only 267 new coronavirus deaths were reported on Sunday, according to information released by Worldometer, which is a website that tracks coronavirus cases, deaths, and projections from other websites including Ministries of Health or other types of government institutions.

Here’s more on this from Washington Examiner:

On March 24, the U.S. reported 268 new deaths.

More than 2.3 million cases of the virus have been confirmed in the U.S. since the pandemic began in January, and 122,000 people have died. Worldometer estimates nearly 1 million people have recovered after falling sick with the virus.

As states begin phased reopening measures in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, some states reported spikes in cases.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the nation’s leading experts on infectious diseases, said, “If you test more, you will likely pick up more infections. Once you see that the percentage is higher, then you’ve really got to be careful because then you really are seeing additional infections that you weren’t seeing before.”

This report is definitely good news. Perhaps this is an indication that folks are starting down the long, long road to “herd immunity?” Or, perhaps, this illness was never as bad as we thought it was? Who knows?

Regardless, let’s just take the good news while we have it.

Seems like now is a good time for churches to reopen and start holding in-person services for those who wish to return to normal worship. Our country is in a vulnerable state of existence at the moment, in desperate need of God’s people to step up in prayer and good works toward the community.

Healing for the fractured people of America will only come through the spread of the gospel of Christ. Let’s be faithful servants and get back to doing good for our neighbors.

Well, I certainly have not been chomping my nails or having anxiety. I also do NOT believe 122,000 people have died of Covid in the USA. I’ve listened to too many nurses and doctors state that people who died of car accidents or heart attacks died of Covid, even though not tested. A huge, bogus number meant to deceive us into believing we should have been locked down and businesses shut down.
The virus needs to run its course so it will die out, just as all viruses do once herd immunity is reached.

Oh no. The dems/liberals will have to quickly come up with another Trump-obstruction ploy in their attempts to sway the November election. The impeachment & lockdown to destroy the economy to discredit Trump are not working. At this rate the dems will have to count on voter fraud to win….
