The following article, Two Senators Dumped Millions of Dollars In Stock Just Days Before Market Tanked [Report], was first published on Flag And Cross.
Two Senators could be in some big trouble for dumping massive amounts of cash before the stock market crashed due to coronavirus. We could be dealing with insider trading.
And these members of the upper chamber aren’t Democrats. Nope. They’re both Republicans. One is North Carolina’s Richard Burr. The other is Georgia’s Kelly Loefler, who was only recently appointed to her position after the resignation of Johnny Isakson in late 2019.
Loefler’s husband is chairman of the New York Stock Exchange.
On Burr, via WBTV:
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr gave a warning about coronavirus during a Feb. 27 private event in Washington, according to a recording obtained by NPR.
ProRepublica reported that Burr unloaded between $582,000 and $1.5 million of his stock holdings.
A week after Burr’s sales, the stock market began a sharp decline and has lost about 30 percent since.

About Loefler, via Fox News:
The report also claims that Loeffler and her husband sold jointly owned stock worth between $1,275,000 and $3,100,000 during the January 24 and February 14 timespan, according to filed transactions.
Richard Burr should not hold government office by Monday. He needs to resign today.
