The following article, All Las Vegas Casinos Shut Down for 30 Days, Plus Trump Secures 2020 GOP Nomination, was first published on Flag And Cross.
Two stories for the price of one? What a bargain. First up, Vegas. Days after MGM announced they were closing their properties on The Strip, Nevada’s governor has ordered all casinos to shut their doors.
No gambling in Vegas for at least the next 30 days.
Here’s the scoop, via Las Vegas Review-Journal:
Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak’s unprecedented bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus by ordering nonessential businesses, including casinos, to close will affect 440 licensed resorts in the state.
There also are 1,977 licenses for establishments with 15 slot machines or fewer at convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants and taverns.
Every casino in the state of Nevada, every gaming device must be turned off at midnight tonight. All non-essential businesses must close tomorrow at noon.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?! LAS VEGAS DOESN'T CLOSE. EVER. BUT IT'S CLOSED NOW.
We are on a lockdown for 30 days.

BARE STRIP: One of the most popular and busy streets in the world is more quiet. Several casinos along the Las Vegas Strip closed Tuesday in an effort to help keep COVID-19 from spreading. This is something we're not used to seeing: pic.twitter.com/ihjzujiDUy

About Trump, the 2020 GOP nominee for president…
Congratulations to @realDonaldTrump – the presumptive 2020 Republican nominee for President!
His home state of Florida put him over the top in delegates.

On a day when the entire sports world, Disneyland, Broadway, universities, and other institutions shut their doors, twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton decided to go after POTUS for his administration’s handling of coronavirus.
The problem is that she clearly didn’t pay attention to his address to the nation the night before.
I know this is all hard for you, @realdonaldtrump, so let me spell it out:
– Free testing
– Fee waivers
– Emergency sick leave
– Giving a damn

Am I in the twilight zone?! Didn’t president Trump address all of this already? pic.twitter.com/xYhgJFQ8sx
