The following article, More than 3,800 Passengers Get Off Cruise Ship Without Being Tested For Coronavirus, Despite Traveler Testing Positive Days Earlier, was first published on Flag And Cross.

A new report out of Florida is saying that more than 3,800 people got off of a cruise ship without being tested for the potentially lethal coronavirus, despite one particular traveler having already tested positive for the illness.

This is how viruses become pandemics.

Here’s more on this from Yahoo News:

The Miami Herald reported that the previous passenger had departed the ship after an eight-day cruise aboard the MSC Meraviglia. Slightly more than 100 passengers along with crew members remained aboard on the next voyage, the Herald reported.

A few days after disembarking, that passenger tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic. The cruise ship subsequently isolated crew members that were in close contact with that passenger, according to the Herald.

Unlike other cruises with coronavirus concerns, the MSC Meraviglia wasn’t held offshore to test passengers and crew. Instead, the cruise docked and disembarked normally on Sunday, with clearance from US health authorities, according to the Herald.

“If we have [the virus], it’s going to spread throughout the country,” one passenger who requested anonymity told the local newspaper. “When I say there was no check, there was none whatsoever. I expected us to have some kind of a screening. They didn’t do a single thing. We walked straight off the ship. There wasn’t any check on anyone for anything.”

A few of the cruise lines have opted to temporarily suspend operations due to the outbreak of coronavirus sweeping the globe. Two other cruise ships, the Diamond Princess and the Grand Princess have both come under heavy fire for the way they handled passengers amidst the spreading pandemic.

The other big concern, along with the spread of the virus, is how it will impact the local economy in Florida, which relies heavily on money from tourism. Our economy all across America is being negatively affected by restaurant closures and other activity cancellations, which are putting people out of work.

It’ll be interesting to see how all of this is straightened out in future months.

It is all a scam. It’s the flu. 30,000 die of the normal flu and it not a even an epidemic. A thousand die of the Chinese flu and it is an pandemic. Does that make sense? And there are people that get it, get over it and go on, so the panic over somebody on a ship having it is ridiculous. Our country has been shut down for a flu virus with a lot of fake statistics.
