Anthem kneeling has now made its way to fencing.

Seriously, man?

From New York Post:

A US Olympic fencing champion took a knee on the podium at the Pan American Games — and now he may face disciplinary action.

Race Imboden — who took home gold in the team foil event — knelt during the national anthem at the medal ceremony Friday in Lima, Peru, in what he saw was a protest over racism and gun control.

We must call for change.
This week I am honored to represent Team USA at the Pan Am Games, taking home Gold and Bronze. My pride however has been cut short by the multiple shortcomings of the country I hold so dear to my heart. Racism, Gun Control, mistreatment of immigrants,

and a president who spreads hate are at the top of a long list.
I chose to sacrifie my moment today at the top of the podium to call attention to issues that I believe need to be addressed. I encourage others to please use your platforms for empowerment and change.

Eric Reid was one of the original anthem kneelers, along with Colin Kaepernick.

In fact, they were both on the San Francisco 49ers at the time.

Now a member of the Carolina Panthers, Reid says he will continue to kneel for the national anthem before games.

Apparently, the guy needs the attention.

Saying that he feels treatment of African Americans is “going backward,” Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid said he will keep taking a knee during the National Anthem before games.

Reid, who joined the Panthers three weeks into the 2018 season, kneeled before every game last season, although no Panthers teammates joined him.
