Embattled Democrat Ilhan Omar is set to face the music for her wrongdoing.

Sort of.

Might the IRS or the state of Minnesota have anything to say about this?

Time will tell. But who are we kidding?

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) will repay thousands after the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board found she filed tax returns claiming she was married to one man when she was married to another.

Omar has agreed to repay $3,500 and a $500 fine amid the investigation into allegations she misused campaign funds, CBS Minnesota reports.

An Omar spokesperson noted, “All of Rep. Omar’s tax filings are fully compliant with all applicable tax law.”

Hmm. If they were fully compliant, would she really be in this spot?

The gist is that “A sitting congresswoman may have filed EIGHT YEARS of fraudulent, felonious, tax returns.”

So…yeah.

To summarize:

The report claims that @IlhanMN and Ahmed Hirsi filed joint tax returns in at least 2014-2015.

Yet @IlhanMN was legally married to another man from 2009-2017.

A sitting congresswoman may have filed EIGHT YEARS of fraudulent, felonious, tax returns. (End)

While speaking at an event organized by Black Lives Matter, Omar screeched about America not being the country of “white people.”

Sounds a little racist, no?

The freshman congresswoman said that Trump and his political allies are to blame for a surge in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia in the U.S.

Fellow freshman lawmaker Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) was also in attendance at the event, which was held at the Capitol and called “Black Women in Defense of Ilhan Omar.”

She noted, “This is not going to be the country of the xenophobics. This is not going to be the country of white people. This is not going to be the country of the few. This is going to be the country of the many.”

Her tweet about the Notre Dame Cathedral fire in Paris has some claiming she just offended Christians worldwide.

Reactions:

“Art and architecture”? It’s a church.

Well, the “architecture” that the art was housed in is a cathedral. While Biblically Christ is wherever His people are, Notre Dame is a significant and storied icon of faith.

The “art and architecture” has a name. It’s called Notre Dame Cathedral. It is a place of worship for Catholics.

This is disrespectful toward Catholics specifically and Christians in general. Notre Dame represents a bit more than “art and architecture” — lest anyone think Omar merely enjoys dissing Jews.

Did the Louvre burn, or was it a storage facility for overflow art? Or was it a Catholic cathedral? Can’t tell from this word salad.
