2020 presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has a wild past.

Part of it involves being kicked off of a hippie commune for refusing to work.

So, there’s something for Democrats to consider.

Bernie Sanders was asked to leave a hippie commune in 1971 for “sitting around and talking” about politics instead of working, according to a forthcoming book.

We Are As Gods by Kate Daloz, scheduled for release April 26, chronicles the rise and fall of the Myrtle Hill Farm in northeast Vermont. Daloz, a Brooklyn writer, was in a special position to write a history of Myrtle Hill: she was raised near the commune in a geodesic dome residence with an outhouse called the Richard M. Nixon Memorial Hall. Her parents were close acquaintances of the commune residents, who offered them tips about wilderness living.

Democrats can’t be too happy to learn that Trump is polling well against their nominees for 2020.

In fact, it would appear Trump’s only true challenger might be former Vice President Joe Biden.

And Joe hasn’t even said if he’s going to run or not.

Based on these results, Biden begins as the strongest Democratic challenger tested. His high exposure and favorability push him to a 7-point edge in a head to head match-up, and 4-point edge with Schultz in the race. Other Democrats are slightly behind Trump, though Trump remains between 41-44% in each match-up and the number of undecideds is in double-digits due to a relative lack of exposure.

In a head-to-head result:

-Joe Biden 50%, Donald Trump 43%, undecided 7%

-Donald Trump 45%, Kamala Harris 44%, undecided 12%

Sanders is a good Democrat.

He says everything necessary to get the uninformed riled up.

He doesn’t need facts. Facts are irrelevant to the left.

For example, speaking from a stage in South Carolina on MLK Day, Sanders said the unthinkable about President Trump.
