The “Fight for $15” hourly minimum wage argument will soon morph into the “Fight for 15 Hours” campaign if Democrats don’t get their act together.
When the minimum wage goes up, businesses are forced to cut workers’ hours, stop hiring altogether, and/or raise prices on consumers.
It’s honestly that simple.
Enter Whole Foods, the grocery chain owned by the richest man in the world, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos…
From Daily Wire:
The dream of the $15 minimum wage was finally realized among Amazon employees after the company caved to mounting pressure and implemented it company-wide on Nov. 1. But according to a new report, the improved wages aren’t working out as many employees had hoped at Amazon’s Whole Foods grocery store chain.
The Guardian reported Wednesday that employees at Whole Foods, which Amazon purchased back in 2017, have experienced a dramatic drop in schedule shifts since the raised wages were introduced.
Along with the new $15 minimum wage for the entry-level positions, some higher-level Whole Foods employees have also enjoyed a $1 to $2 increase in hourly wages, the outlet notes. It all sounds good — until employees’ schedules are taken into account. Since the wage increase in November, Whole Foods employees say they’ve experienced “widespread cuts that have reduced schedule shifts across many stores, often negating wage gains for employees,” The Guardian reports.
More from The Guardian:
The labor budget and schedule cuts at Whole Foods in the wake of the minimum wage increase appear to be similar to changes Amazon made after it raised the pay of warehouse workers to a minimum wage of $15 an hour. That move was widely praised but Amazon also cut stock vesting plans and bonuses that had provided extra pay to some workers.
Some Whole Foods workers say the cuts have led to understaffing issues. “Things that have made it more noticeable are the long lines, the need to call for cashier and bagging assistance, and customers not being able to find help in certain departments because not enough are scheduled, and we are a big store,” said one worker in California.
“Just about every person on our team has complained about their hours being cut. Some have had to look for other jobs as they can’t make ends meet,” they added.
Speaking of a $15 minimum wage, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is all in.
Democrat Congressman Gregory Meeks (NY) went on CNN to tell the nation that the 2020 presidential candidate should not be running as a Democrat.
His reasoning is simple and it makes all the sense in the world. Bernie is not a Democrat.
He’s a Democrat Socialist.
Although small, there is, technically, a difference.
Voters were asked about the self-described Democrat Socialist, but things didn’t go Bernie’s way.
One man said, “I can’t stop laughing.”
“I can’t stop laughing … it’s a gift to the Republican Party and Trump. They’re so out of touch with reality, they’re selling kool-aid, they’ve been doing it on the campuses for years and now it’s spread out and they have this utopian idea of ‘everything is wonderful’ … people don’t get it, it doesn’t work.”
Florida voters react to Bernie Sanders running for president:
-“I can’t stop laughing…it’s a gift to the Republican Party”
-“Send in the clowns”
-“Bernie’s vision for America is destructive”
-“It’s almost laughable”
-“Bad for the Democrats, great for the Republicans”

Bernie calls for the rich to fork over their cash in order to be redistributed, yet forgets he’s a member of the 1%.
He’s also big into “saving” the planet, yet has no problem flying private.
The list could go on for a while.
Sanders is a good Democrat. He says everything necessary to get the uninformed riled up.
He doesn’t need facts. Facts are irrelevant.
For example, speaking from a stage in South Carolina on MLK Day, Sanders said the unthinkable about President Trump.
