Before she was the junior senator from California, Kamala Harris served as the Golden State’s attorney general.
Prior to that, she was district attorney of San Francisco (and mistress to Mayor Willie Brown).
In 2010, Harris talked about jailing parents over their truant children.
Harris: “So, to that end, on my letterhead — now, let me tell you something about my letterhead. When you’re the DA of a major city in this country, usually the job comes with a badge. And there is often an artistic rendering of said badge on your stationery.”
“So, I sent a letter out on my letterhead to every parent in the school district, outlining the connection that was statistically proven between elementary school truancy, high school dropouts, who will become a victim of crime, and who will become a perpetrator or crime.”
“We sent it out to everyone. A friend of mine actually called me and he said, Kamala, my wife got the letter. She freaked out. She brought all the kids into the living room, held up the letter, said if you don’t go to school, Kamala is going to put you and me in jail.”
Kamala Harris's comments of "using the stick" to make poor families behave, or be arrested, is deeply disturbing. This is much worse than Clinton's "super predator" comments, because Harris's conviction belies a far more deeply held political philosophy. pic.twitter.com/WhFkO4HOE4

From Free Beacon:
Former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown broke his silence on his relationship with Democratic senator Kamala Harris on Saturday, admitting in his weekly column that he used his powerful post to boost her young career when they dated.
Brown, who was openly in an extramarital relationship with Harris when he was speaker of the California State Assembly and running for mayor, had avoided commenting on his relationship with Harris since she announced her run for president a week ago. Harris has also managed to avoid addressing the role Brown played in the early stages of her political career.
Brown goes on to address the fact that he appointed Harris, who was just a few years out of law school and working at the Alameda County district attorney’s office, to two well-paid posts on California state commissions and later helped her in her first election.
Brown notes, “Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker. And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco.”
Harris’s problems seem to not be an issue with the mainstream media.
They don’t care.
Even worse is the MSM won’t tell the American people the truth about Kamala’s “Medicare for all” push and how much it would burden the nation.
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) slammed President Trump’s plan for a border wall and pushed for “Medicare for All” as she formally launched her run for the Democratic presidential nomination Sunday.
Harris: “I’m running to fight for an America where the economy works for working people. I am running to declare, once and for all, that health care is a fundamental right, and to deliver that right with ‘Medicare for All.’ To declare education is a fundamental right, and we will guarantee that right with universal pre-k and debt-free college.”
“Folks, on the subject of transnational gangs, let’s be perfectly clear: The president’s medieval vanity project is not going to stop them.”
“When we have children in cages, crying for their mothers and fathers, don’t you dare call that border security. That’s a human rights abuse.”
“America, we are better than this. People in power are trying to convince us that the villain in our American story is each other. But that is not our story. That is not who we are. That’s not our America. The United States of America is not about us against them. It’s about ‘We the People.’”
The thing the left doesn’t get is that health care is not a right, it is a privilege, as crazy as that may sound to even some on the right.
