Not Even The Super Bowl Can Crack This Chicken Chain’s Code of Ethics

NFL

For some on the left, (way out on the left, mind you), the idea of rebuking any and all conservative values comes at all costs, even if that means spending time and energy hating a chicken sandwich.

Sure, that sounds wholly absurd, but it’s not.  The left has been waging a war on restaurant chain Chick Fil A for years, lambasting the popular eatery’s Christian values to no end.  For what purpose is unclear, other than a sheer hatred for all things traditional, religious, or conservative.

In keeping with these values, Chick Fil A’s across the country are closed on Sundays, minus the very rare case in which the restaurant can open to provide meals for those who are down on their luck or suffering.

And no, not even the NFL can change their minds.

Sources confirmed to Sports Illustrated and Business Insider on Tuesday that the franchise’s location inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will remain closed when the Los Angeles Rams play the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII on Feb. 3.

The company previously released a statement through its official website, stating that it wants to maintain the values of founder Truett Cathy. The company’s policy of staying closed on Sundays started in 1946 at the franchise’s first location.

Arthur Blank and his team at Mercedes Benz Stadium have a plan to use the Chick Fil A locations to serve food from a concept called “Fries Up” instead, hoping to keep patrons happy and well fed.

Also of note is Mercedes Benz Stadium’s fan-forward food pricing platform, where game-day staples such as popcorn and hot dogs can be purchased for as little as $2 each, with beers starting at $5.
