Google’s Troubles Amplified by Recap of CEO’s Congressional Testimony

Google

Google has long been the scourge of the conservative media, if for no other reason than their undeniable monopoly on internet traffic.

We must remember that Google isn’t simply a service to “crawl” the “web”.  Instead, Google is the sort of company that has Freakonomics style impact on the universe.

Google manages a vast majority of everything that we do these days, with traffic emerging as the most prominent example of their unrelenting power.   Think about it; in busy cities, where a vast majority of people are using Google-driven traffic data in their GPS, the company is quite literally directing traffic.  On a massive scale.

If Google decided to send all traffic somewhere they could.  For example, should they decide to send every Sunday driver to the roads surrounding an Amazon shipping facility, that would drastically effect the online retailer’s ability to deliver.

Google has too much power…that’s all I’m saying.

Now, after a series of powerful revelations have shaken the foundation of the internet powerhouse, a closer look at their CEO’s recent testimony in front of Congress has raised more than a few retrospective eyebrows.

Lawyer Harmeet Dhillon discussed Breitbart News’ latest Google leak on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, Wednesday, highlighting Google’s threat towards democracy.

On Wednesday, Breitbart Tech Senior Reporter Allum Bokhari published details about a leaked Google internal discussion thread, proving the company regularly adds search results, including negative results about prominent left-wing figures, to a blacklist on its platform YouTube.

“The term ‘abortion’ was added to a ‘blacklist’ file for ‘controversial YouTube queries,’ which contains a list of search terms that the company considers sensitive. According to the leak, these include some of these search terms related to: abortion, abortions, the Irish abortion referendum, Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and anti-gun activist David Hogg,” Bokhari reported. “The existence of the blacklist was revealed in an internal Google discussion thread leaked to Breitbart News by a source inside the company who wishes to remain anonymous. A partial list of blacklisted terms was also leaked to Breitbart by another Google source.”

Google was, earlier in the week, accused of manually adjusting their search algorithm in order to disparage conservative points of view.

Then, just a day later, an internal document leaked, corroborating the earlier news.
